Released in 2010, "Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai" is a Bollywood crime drama film directed by Milan Luthria and produced by Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor. The movie is loosely based on the real-life story of Haji Mastan, a notorious gangster and smuggler who operated in Mumbai (then known as Bombay) during the 1960s and 1970s.
The film stars Ajay Devgn as Sultan Mirza, a fictional character inspired by Haji Mastan, and Emraan Hashmi as Shoaib Khan, a character based on the infamous gangster, Abu Salem. The story revolves around the rise of Sultan Mirza from a small-time smuggler to a powerful don, and his eventual clash with Shoaib Khan, who seeks to overthrow him.
